  1. Where are you from?

Originally born in Hampshire, UK, I came to live in Australia with my Mum and Dad when I was 15.

I now live in God Own Country which is the Hawkesbury Area of NSW.

  1. When did you know you wanted to be a writer?

When I was a child.  I loved reading and loved words.  You could always find me curled up along side my Darling Dad, me with my book and Dad with his.  We would read for hours!

  1. Do you have another job, or are you a full time writer?

I am a writer, whether it be my books or blog posts for my various websites.

  1. What inspires you?

Nature really inspires me.  I feel so connected to nature.  I live 1/2 way up a mountain with fabulous 270 degree views.  I have a very large property with huge trees, lovely gardens, and lots of birds and wildlife.

I see and feel the moods of the mountain, the weather and mother nature herself.  At night I go and sit on a seat in a very high point in my house garden and look at the stars above which are so clear its breath taking, awe inspiring and you can feel the energy of life itself.

My dogs also inspire me, all are rescue dogs saved from the kill list, some with only minutes to spare, all have suffered the worst abuse. (I only take the WORST abused dogs). I work with them and you can see each day a little more transformation, a little more wholeness shining through.

It takes courage for them to become whole and trust again, but they LOVE, they are PURE LOVE.  This inspires me so much.  I write about them in my Children’s book Series, the Adventures of Popsie and Friends.  These stories are true life stories and any monies from them go to our local animal shelter where I saved them from, to help save others.

  1. Who is your greatest supporter?

My Life Partner and Husband Lyndsay.

  1. Do you have to do much research for your books?

NO I don’t,  but please let me explain.  EVERY non-fiction book I write, I am qualified to write about.

I have been a life time student, so in a round about way, I have already done the research!  I am a qualified Social Worker, with qualification also in counselling, grief counselling and relationship counselling and suicide prevention.

Also I have qualifications in Aromatherapy (I used to own an essential oil

company) Reiki, Crystal Healing, and other spiritual aspects.  I also used to run Spiritual Healing week-end workshops, where I had a waiting list of those wishing to attend.

So writing in any of these genre’s comes easy for me, and people know what I write is correct which is so, so very important.

For my Children’s books, they are based on my dogs, and my grandchildren.

  1. What is your greatest challenge when writing?

My greatest challenge has been time.  My life over the last 2 years has been thrown so many curve balls, one of them a cancer diagnosis which was a very rare cancer indeed,(now 100% NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE!! YEAH!!) Time to write seemed to evaporate.

  1. What advice do you have for other authors?

Never write about anything you are not qualified to write about, if you are writing a Non-Fiction book.  Getting a ghost writer to research and write it for you in my opinion does not cut it.  Your readers somehow can sense, this.

Write about what you are passionate about, this will shine through.

If you are writing non-fiction then write in a genre, you love and adore to read, as the words will flow!

  1. Do you have anything to say to your readers and fans?

A big thank you!  I send you all Blessings, Love, Light and Healing.

Popsie and her Friends also send you big icky licky kisses and big doggy smiles.

  1. What’s next for Maggie?

Lots of positive things ahead of me. I have just finished book 3 in a new Children’s book series, for 8-12 year olds.  They will be released in the next 3 months.

Popsie and Friends, Books 3-6 nearly finished, and should be released within a 4 month time period.

Also I have 2 more Non fiction books finished, just in the editing stage, so will be released soon.

Plus, I have been asked by so many to write my journey from the depths of despair with a diagnosis of Peritoneal Liposarcoma, my radiation therapy,2 massive operations, then to pushing through this, with juicing, organic foods, yoga, meditation, crystal healings, etc to receiving a diagnosis of No Evidence of Disease.

So many people Facebook me with a Private Message, asking if I have a book on what I do. I don’t and have been just letting them know by reply what I do.  I find it is still very raw for me, I have been through so much, but am really thinking if it will help others, then I must write my journey so far.

If I do, all book sales with go into Liposarcoma research.

But, my journey book is something I have yet to schedule … I will continue to meditate on this for the right time…

Blessings everyone, I send you Love, Light and Healing …
